Diane McGeehan

Diane McGeehan is a higher education professional with over 20 years of experience specializing in online course design, faculty development, and instructional strategy. She combines deep knowledge of academic standards with practical expertise in creating engaging, student-centered online learning experiences.

Throughout her career, Diane has worked closely with professors and academic teams to design courses that meet institutional goals while enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes. She helps faculty navigate the challenges of online instruction, from crafting clear learning objectives and meaningful assessments to integrating technology effectively.

Her approach is collaborative and tailored. Diane listens to educators’ needs, identifies strengths and growth areas, and provides practical guidance that builds confidence and supports sustainable teaching practices. Her work empowers faculty to teach with clarity and confidence while advancing the broader goals of their institutions.

Awards and Accomplishments

Diane Mcgeehan brings over thirty years of experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, along with leadership roles as acting and associate campus dean. She has also worked in public and private schools and business education with Nobel Learning, Inc.

Her most notable recognition is the Strayer University Faculty Leadership Award (2019), honoring her consistent leadership in advancing Strayer University’s academic mission. Other honors include:

  • Who’s Who in Educational Leadership, 2012

  • Alpha Epsilon Lambda, Upsilon Chapter National Honor Society, 2010 and 2011

  • Region 5 Full Time Faculty of the Year, Strayer University, 2009 and 2010

  • Vision Leadership Seminar Certificate, 2005

Diane has also contributed to academic advising, peer mentoring, and course development at universities including Temple, Penn State, Marywood, King’s College, and George Mason. She has published and edited works such as the Strayer University Faculty Advising Manual and Career College Handbook of Writing and Grammar.
